Finished my 2 x BC611 Replica US Walkie Talkies. Incorporated Cobra Microtalk Walkie Talkies in each BC611 so they work as per the real thing.

Also refurbed my post war M1 liner into a WW2 spec para and fitted D bales to my front seam helmet.-- attachment is not available ---- attachment is not available --

Have you checked the range on the BC611s?

When I did this on mine the range went down to a few metres...

Yep, have tried it about 500m so far and is ok. I have soldered TV coax insulated copper wire from the Cobra to the antenna. Removed ear piece and mic from the Cobra, wired and inserted in the BC611 ear and mouth pieces. So far so good. More range tests in order though

Baptism of fire on the 2 BC611s at the Gunman game. They worked a treat and were an asset. The vehicle commanders used them to great effect. :happyclap:

Some winter themed pictures:

Why do you always carry that umbrella?
-Bad memory. Never could remember the password. Knew no Jerry would carry one. Had to prove I was an Englishman, you see.
A bridge too far

Got my SS kit looking more like a kit

I know there's a few things that are wrong (Shoulder boards, buckle, ect...) but I don't care much

Getting some DAK kit together for a Kustenartillerie impression. Being in Africa, we thought it high time to do a North Africa game - after all, we have the sun, the heat, the flies, the gravel, the jagged rocks... :P

- M41 tropical LW tunic from Hiki
- Kusten shoulder boards + Kriegsmarine tropical breast eagle
- webbing belt and painted Heer buckle
- FJ tropical jump trousers from Spearhead (ebay) - notice the colour difference between tunic and trousers
- captured Brit gaiters (actually old SA Police issue)

Hi fellas,
Just getting my kit sorted for "Rise of the 10th" and I thought I'd post a few pics from a excursion with the Mrs. Had a late night so I thought my knackered look would add to it, well that's my excuse anyway. As this is the first time my BD has been on, please comment and help me out if I've been silly in areas, cheers :good:

Looking good. I like your bazooka! Does it shoot/ go bang?

There is plenty of room under US mustard wool trousers to wear knee pads, you won't ruin the look any. I do it and so do some others. There is even more room under M43s.

A couple of little things that stand out to me: the chistrap looks 1960s, wartime OD3 ones are stitched on, and yellow tape on mags.

Other than that, fine. That is the beauty of the basic US infantry uniform, not much to go wrong.
